Breastmilk Boosting Granola
In the last post, I talked about how there’s no science behind Lactation Boosting Superfoods , but anecdotally, there are certain foods that are widely regarded as providing a breastmilk supply boost.
This granola recipe is the perfect example of that. Not only that, it’s perfectly munchable and VERY EASY. You probably already have all the ingredients in your pantry.
Lactation Boosting Granola
Ingredients:
1/4 C. coconut oil or butter
1/4 C. honey or maple syrup
1 Tbsp. dark brown sugar, optional
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch cinnamon
Pinch salt, if using coconut oil or unsalted butter
2 1/2 C. rolled oats
1 C. raw unsalted whole almonds
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325. Melt oil or butter together with honey. Stir in all remaining ingredients and spread evenly onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake until lightly golden, about 15-20 minutes, stirring once.
Remove from oven and cool completely. Serve with yogurt or eat by the handfuls while nursing.
